National Infrastructure
Created in 1998 Canadian Blood Services (CBS), is the successor to the Canadian Red Cross Blood Program and the Canadian Blood Agency (the former funding arm of Canada's blood supply system). With over 4o operating locations across Canada, CBS required a single-point of contact to manage and execute local and national telecommunications cabling requirements. FCi has been supporting and managing all CBS local and national telecommunications cabling infrastructures since July 2000. In January of 2003, FCi developed, and continues to maintain, a national standard for all CBS national facilities. FCi ensures that all new and existing CBS facilities are fitted with Panduit certified equipment and materials and must conform to all applicable local and regional codes and standards. FCi ensures all network infrastructure specifications are adhered to for all applications including, but not limited to; horizontal voice and data distribution, voice and data backbone distribution, fibre, all mounting hardware, labeling, testing and documentation across Canada.
